KyMaLabs is a company dedicated to finding simple, innovative ideas that can improve people's lives. We're dedicated to experimenting with unique ideas, turning each into a dedicated product. Momentomail, an email scheduling service, is our first product. Wormwall, our second product, is a simple web publishing platform anybody can use. See the "About Us" page for more information.
How many times have you had time to type an email right now, but didn't want to send it right now. That's the core idea behind Momentomail. Imagine being able to type out all of your birthday emails today, and have your friends and family receive them on their birthdays! Or for forgetful husbands, send your wife an anniversary email today, not after you forgot about it! Given our modern, busy, overscheduled lives, being able to do work in the future, when you have time today is a tremendous relief. See the Momentomail page for more information.
Right now Momentomail is very early in its development but we have many of ideas on how to extend this idea out. We've been using it ourselves, sending Momentomails (reminding us of company meetings, coffee breaks, and other things) for a little while now and it's already started to transform how we communicate. If you have ideas, let us know!
Wormwall came as an answer to the question, what's the simplest possible system for creating and sharing web pages? It's designed to make putting pages up on the internet as simple as typing an email. No messing with complicated HTML, publishing systems, content management systems or other things. Just start typing, create links, etc. but all with our Rich Text Editor. It's not intended to be fancy, but it lets you express yourself and get something up on the Internet in literally seconds: event flyers, fan pages, publish your writing or poetry, organize your favorite links, create your own product reviews, publish your favorite recipes, write tutorials, provide content that's too long for Twitter, even create links between other Wormwalls! The sky is the limit! We'll handle the hosting, you handle the content.
When you publish your page you get a unique URL for your page that you can share with others. Make as many Wormwalls as you like, we'll even track the hits to each page so you can see which ones are popular. You can even edit the content on a Wormwall to keep them up-to-date and fresh! See the Wormwall page for more information.
Nothing at all! It's Free! We plan to always keep the core Momentomail and Wormwall services free, ad supported and open to the public.
So that you don't have to remember yet another username and password, we use accounts you probably already have. If you already have a Google account (Gmail, Google Calendar, iGoogle, etc.), Yahoo! or Twitter account, chances are you are already good to go:
Absolutely! The great thing about using Google, Yahoo! and Twitter as our account providers is that their services are free. To create a free account with one of their services:
We're also exploring using other services to provide login services for Momentomail in the future. Let us know what services you use and we'll look into integrating with them as well!
One great thing about how we're integrated with our account providers is that we don't see any of the information you have stored with them, and they doesn't see any of the information you have stored with KyMaLabs. We simply use their authentication service to know that you are who you say you are and to simplify your life by not requiring you to make yet another account you have to memorize. We also will never sell your email address or personal messages to advertisers or otherwise. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
When we added Wormwall to our list of services, we needed a new way for users to land in a neutral site. Rather than just putting them on a static screen, we thought it might be useful it users could monitor some information about their account. We upgraded the sidebar, and now show the next 5 scheduled Momentomails at the top, and your top 5 most viewed Wormwalls.
With email, the person you are emailing receives the email at the same time you send it. A Momentomail is sent when you schedule it. Instead of having to remember to send an email the day of your friend's birthday, you can schedule it now, and it'll be sent it weeks or even months later! You can even have a copy of the Momentomail sent to you on the scheduled day to remind you something was sent. By adding more addresses to your user profile, you can schedule Momentomails from any of your email addresses!
Online marketing services are great for online marketing. They're designed for companies to reach out to a large audience. But they can be expensive and inconvenient for regular people to use. Momentomail is targeted squarely at the regular user. Plus we're planning on keeping Momentomail free!
When we send out Momentomails, they come from a special account at kymalabs.com. But we put your KyMaLabs account name in the sender details so the receiver knows who it's from. We also set the reply-to address to the email address you specified when scheduling the Momentomail. If your recipient replies to you, it will be sent to you as expected. If you want to set the reply-to address to another address (not your Google or Yahoo! addresses), just add them to your user profile.
When you create a KyMaLabs account, we use the name associated with your Google, Yahoo! or Twitter account. You can change the name Momentomails are sent out from in your User Profile:
You can add more addresses to your KyMaLabs account. With more addresses, you can choose the reply-to address when scheduling new Momentomails, even non-Google or Yahoo! email addresses! To add more addresses:
Right now, we only allow you to schedule Momentomails to one person at a time. You can send multiple Momentomails, each to a different person if you like. We're exploring allowing multiple people for some time in the future.
Right now we haven't set a limit. But if we think somebody is using Momentomail for spam or some other purpose, we may have to change that policy. We also monitor usage to make sure people aren't abusing the service. See the Terms of Service for more information on how you are allowed to use Momentomail.
Unfortunately no, Momentomails can only be sent into the future.
When you send a Momentomail, you have to categorize what kind of message it is. We're planning on using that data to try and improve future versions of Momentomail. Using Message Types we can keep your emails private and still improve how our service is targeted. If you think we've missed a type, let us know!
When you schedule a Momentomail, months later when it's actually sent, you might forget that you sent it out. This option will send you a copy of the Momentomail so that you remember.
You can see the the upcoming (yet to be sent) Momentomails by clicking "Scheduled Momentomails" from the "My Account" page.
You can edit a Momentomail before it's sent by going to the "Scheduled Momentomails" page and clicking "Modify" next to the Momentomail that you wish to edit. This will bring up that message in the "Modify a Momentomail" page. Simply edit any part of the Momentomail you want and click "Update" to put it back in the queue.
You can delete an upcoming Momentomail before it's sent by going to the "Scheduled Momentomails" page and clicking "Modify" next to the Momentomail that you wish to delete. This will bring up that message in the "Modify a Momentomail" page. Review the message and make sure you wish to delete it, then simply click "delete" and it will be removed from the queue.
You can see sent Momentomails by clicking "Sent Momentomails" from the "My Account" page.
Sorry, not at this time.
Yes! When you go to schedule a new Momentomail, the body portion of the message has an integrated Rich Text Editor (based on the awesome Dojo Toolkit). You can use a selection of fonts, create links, link in images or use colors to make your email more interesting.
Not yet, we're working on it! Let us know what you use so we know better what's popular!
Momentomail has been tested to work on all modern browsers (IE 8, Chrome, Firefox 3.x, Safari, Opera, etc.). Momentomail also will work fine on IE 7 but we don't officially support it. It's also been tested on Android. Let us know if you have a different browser setup and are having problems.
Not yet, we're working on it! However, it's been tested to work perfectly fine on mobile devices.
You can send us your ideas on the "Contact Us" page. We're interested to hear your thoughts!
After logging in, click "Create New Wormwall" in the sidebar on the left. From there, provide a title for your Wormwall and start typing away! Once you've created your content you can click "Preview before Publish" to see what the Wormwall will look like to a viewer, or just click Publish. You'll be given a URL (something like http://www.kymalabs.com/wormwall/displaywall?key=123abc456). This is the unique address to your wall for your to share.
After logging in, click "Manage Wormwall" in the sidebar on the left. This will bring up a list of all of your published Wormwalls. The column on the right called "URL" contains the addresses to all of your Wormwalls.
Sorry, we want to let people visiting your Wall know that they're visting our servers. Wormwall is not intended to be a full-fledged web-publishing system.
After logging in, click "Manage Wormwall" in the sidebar on the left. This will bring up a list of all of your published Wormwalls. Click the "Modify" button and your Wall content will be brought up in the Rich Text Editor for you to edit. After making your changes, you can click the "Preview before Update" to see how the changes look to a view, or hit "Update(Publish)" to save the changes.
After logging in, click "Manage Wormwall" in the sidebar on the left. This will bring up a list of all of your published Wormwalls. Click the "Modify" button and your Wall content will be brought up in the Rich Text Editor. Click "Delete" at the bottom of the page to delete the Wormwall. After deleting the Wormwall, the URL will no longer work.
Not at this time, once a Wormwall is published, it is always available until you delete it.
There are two ways to add links to the content in your Wormwall:
. Type in your URL and click "Set".
in the toolbar, type in the URL and the text you want to link it to, then click "Set" and it will automatically insert a link in your content where the cursor currently is.At the moment you can't. The Rich Text Editor we're using has a couple of limitations that the Dojo toolkit team is working on (including keeping text formatting in links).
When you publish a Wormwall, you receive a URL that looks like http://www.kymalabs.com/wormwall/displaywall?key=123abc456. This is the address of your Wormwall. Simply email this address, Momentomail it, link to it, IM it, share it, or distribute it to your friends, readers or viewers as desired. When they click on a link to this address, or type it into their address bar in their browser, they'll come to your Wormwall.
It's simple. Just use the URLs for each Wormwall when making links in the other Wormwalls. In theory you could actually build a fairly complex website in Wormwall with tons of pages!

A blog (or Web Log) is basically an online diary that's open to the public. As you add new posts, old ones scroll off the bottom. They are an important and interesting source of news and current information, but aren't always appropriate for other kinds of content. Web pages are static, almost archives, or content. They don't have the same expiration problem that blog posts do, but they require a set of skills that not everybody needs to have. Sites like Facebook or Myspace let people share their preferences, but they can't really create many individual pages, dedicated to things they think are important.
Wormwall is intended to fit somewhere in the middle of all of these, letting people quickly and simply create new places on the Web that they own. And by letting users make as many Wormwalls as they like, they can dedicate different Wormwalls to different subjects!
Wormwall is very early in its development. We're only offering the absolute minimum set of features to start with. If you have any ideas, please let us know on the "Contact Us" page.
We try to send out batches Momentomails every few minutes. This means that we may not send it precisely at the time you set, but it should be within a few minutes of the scheduled time. Let us know if you are having a problem with late delivery.
Unfortunately, you can't. We're setup to send out batches of Momentomails every few minutes, the times in the list let us make sure we send out messages as close to on-time as we can.
If you see this, try to clear out your browser's cache and cookies and try again.
Unfortunately, we've found that Yahoo!'s interface for account integration is a tiny bit flaky. Requests against their API return nothing about a third of the time. We're currently working with Yahoo! to improve this, but for now, just wait a few seconds and try again and you'll eventually get in. Let us know if you are having particular issues with it.
During testing of the Yahoo! API we found that very old Yahoo! accounts seem to be missing some data, likely due to an improper migration to a new account system at Yahoo! some time ago. We even have one account that claims to be from 1970! There's actually nothing KyMaLabs can do to resolve it, but it's pretty easy for you to bring your Yahoo! account up-to-date by forcing them to migrate your old account to the new type.
